As a Metro employee or pensioner*, you and your dependents can participate in the Nashville Healthcare Incentive Program. Whether you need primary care or imaging - we’ve got you covered for little to no cost.
Who is eligible to participate?
This incentive program is open to all Metro employees, pensioners, and their dependents covered under a Metro medical plan. All you need is a current Metro healthcare plan.
Federal law prohibits participation in the incentive program if Medicare (including Humana or UHC) is your primary insurance.
How much does it cost?
Not only is there zero cost to participate in the Nashville Healthcare Incentive Program, but PPO members will enjoy a $0 copay for healthcare at Nashville General Hospital (NGH) and Nashville Healthcare Center (NHC)1 and HRA members will begin to see savings once their HRA Fund is exhausted2. Third party copays (lab) not included, and all services must be deemed medically necessary by Cigna.
How do I sign up?
You don’t! There’s no sign-up needed. If you currently have a Metro healthcare plan, you’re eligible NOW! New patients call 615.341.4YOU (4968) to book your appointment.

Group Plan Specifics
- 1 Represents an out-of-pocket maximum of $1,000 for single and $2,000 for family CIGNA in-network providers, which includes deductibles and coinsurance but not copays. You will NOT incur any copays for healthcare at NGH or NHC.
- 2 Incentive program begins in Cigna HRA’s Stage 2. Medical expenses covered entirely by Metro-funded HRA until Stage 2. To qualify for no-cost care under the Nashville Healthcare Incentive Program, all third-party labs and outside imaging/rehab services must be performed at Nashville General Hospital, Nashville Healthcare Center, Nashville Healthcare Diagnostic Imaging, even if employees are seeing a physician at Nashville Healthcare Center.
- 3 A third-party lab may charge copays.
